For people new to the credit card game it may seem like a simple process. You can choose a credit card online, the company tells you how much you can spend, and you start making purchases. However, many people are shocked when they get their first bill. Instead of being charged for just the purchases made there may be hundreds of dollars in additional fees.

These fees are disclosed up front, but they are usually found in that tiny print pamphlet that comes with the credit card. Even the people who read all that information may be shocked. Anytime you require the company to process an administrative task, they will charge you a fee. You could also incur additional charges for returned checks or transferring a balance from another account. Since each of these processes will cost the company money, you will have to pay additional costs.
